Prosecutor & Police Theory

Theory that took Joseph to trial

On December 2, 2016 there was a shooting on Haws avenue in the Norristown section of Montgomery County. Two people were shot, and one person was a CI for Montgomery county DA's office after an arrest for selling heroin with a child in the lap. Although the county has a severe opioid problem, the DA's office opted to make the person a criminal informant. This is a common practice in law enforcement in an attempt to combat bigger and more dangerous crimes.

They believed that the shooting was in retaliation for aiding in an arrest of someone committing a bigger crime in the county. However they must first find and arrest the shooter(s) who perpetrated the crime at hand.

Fortunately, surveillance photos led them to a car and a person of interest, as well as an anonymous tip as to someone else who may be involved in the crime. Both persons were arrested and charged with attempted murder and relating offenses. They were both asked if they would like to cooperate with the investigation to which they obliged.

The driver, D. Bean was given papers which outlined the theory of the crime being that Joseph solicited them to murder the CI in an attempt to avoid prosecution of selling drugs & illegal guns to the CI which resulted in his arrest.

Seems simple and straightforward right? especially if the evidence points that way. The problem with this theory is that it was thought of BEFORE investigating the crime, and handed to D. Bean WITHOUT proof. So begins the battle for justice!
